Welcome!  My name is Karen Hummel and I am a graduate student at Lamar University.  I am currently working towards my Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling.  

I currently reside in Cypress, Texas with my husband and our children.  When we are not working, we love traveling, attending concerts of all types, and planning out what our next tattoos will be.  

For the last 23 years, I have spent my time in education as a classroom teacher.  I greatly enjoyed my time as an educator, but ultimately felt that it was time for me to step down from teaching to pursue my dream of becoming a therapist.  Since retiring, I have been focusing on  running the private practice my husband and I have build, as well as being a stay at home mom to my clingy dog, Hendrix.
